Still Child Labour
O
My God! Still poor children,
Work
for day and night
To
earn their livelihood!
They
work since ages and ages,
But
get very meagre wages,
They
are given a broom at ten,
When
they should hold a pen.
Still
there fate mops to clean the floor,
When
they should be at friend's door,
At
the age to go to schools,
They
are dubbed as big fools.
They
are given brooms to clean the dust,
When
they should be at school must,
They
are made illiterate,
But
they still fight against such a fate.
Great
men dreamed, aspired our India be free,
Still
they do labouring to get a fee,
I
feel gloom and sad,
By
seeing their plight very bad.
I
prefer to prosper them,
Understanding
life and being a gem,
Engineer,
doctor, teacher should be their fate,
And
they must enter the gaiety gate.
O
My God! Still poor children,
Work
for day and night,
To
earn their livelihood!
