A House With No Glow
It was night I remember it well,
Hear it if you dare the poem I'm going to tell.
I was going in my car,
To reach home very far,
My car started getting slow,
And stopped in front of a house with no glow.
I tried to call home for some gain,
But my phone fused because of heavy rain,
I rung the bell of the house twice,
And the door opened and out went mice.
There stood a man at the door,
Who gestured me to get inside onto his floor,
He was holding a candle,
So the darkness in the house could be handled.
I followed him to a room,
Where he gave me a plate and spoon,
He went outside,
And I felt someone come inside.
I heard a cry that made me jump,
And I started feeling the goosebumps,
I moved to the door but when I turned back,
There stood a woman holding a knife ready to stab.
I was terrified so ran out of the room,
And met the man who was holding a broom,
He asked me what happened,
I told him there was a woman who had made me frighten,
He told me to get some sleep,
I said alright and went up with a leap,
I woke and saw it was only nine,
When I heard the same cry again this time,
There stood both of the people,
Ready to attack me as I looked so feeble,
I got scared and jumped from the window,
And ran as fast as I could do,
I reached home at ten,
After running from the lion's den,
Reaching home was a relief,
After going through a situation so grief.
