Poem

Let The Boogeyman

Don't let the boogeyman,
Catch you in the act,
Is an old wives tale,
To make children scare.

Some pleasant voice came,
And I went in that range,
It was increasing slowly,
And I went in anxiously.

It was night,
But I didn't fright,
Went behind the voice,
To feel all the rejoice.

I went to the living room,
And was struck by doom,
As the television was on,
But no one there to off.

I wanted to switch it off,
But in the middle, was caught,
Turned to see the boogeyman,
Who caught me in the act.

I skipped a heartbeat,
Seeing him on his feet,
It was so terrifying,
But was not rectifying.

Something unusual happened,
And I felt a little pampered,
When he asked me to play,
Anything that I say.

He turned to be okay,
And met me every day,
My family, my friends, my time,
All became a part of his life.

So, do let the boogeyman,
Catch you in the act.
